Speaking Somali is a skill that can be trained. With the right structure, practice and support, you can start building the confidence to speak more naturally with family, relatives and elders.
Speak Somali confidently in real conversations.
Speak Somali with family members and grandparents with pride.
Feel more connected to your identity and heritage.
Grow in confidence every week and see your ability improve.
Taught by expert Somali teachers. Designed for real conversation — so you can finally speak Somali, not just understand it. All classes are segregated by gender, creating a comfortable and focused learning environment for everyone.
In this weekly class, you learn the sentence structures, vocabulary and grammar you need to speak about real topics in Somali. Each lesson helps you build your own Somali sentences.
This is where you start using Somali out loud. You practice your sentences, answer follow-up questions and receive correction from your teacher in a small, supportive class.
You will receive support and accountability throughout the programme so you do not fall behind. We check in with you, help you stay on track, and make sure you are progressing towards your goals.
You don't just learn random words. You build from simple sentences to longer answers, follow-up questions, and real answers.
You practice in an environment where mistakes are expected and teachers help you improve without judgement.
The programme is online, structured and supported with recordings, documents, WhatsApp support and accountability.
See how our students are building confidence, reconnecting with their language, and finally speaking Somali with more ease.
We’ve started enrolling for our next cohort. Spaces are limited, and once they’re gone, we can’t guarantee a place in this intake.
This programme is mainly designed for adults who understand some Somali but struggle to speak it confidently. If you are a complete beginner, you can still apply and we’ll let you know if it’s the right fit for your level.
We teach standard Somali (Maxatiri dialect), which is widely understood across all regions. It’s taught with a neutral accent that blends elements from different dialects, allowing you to communicate clearly with any Somali speaker.
Yes, our adult classes are organised in a way that keeps brothers and sisters separate where needed. You’ll be placed into the correct group depending on the class arrangements available for the cohort.
That’s completely normal. Many of our students join because they feel nervous, embarrassed, or scared of making mistakes. The classes are designed to be supportive, and you’ll practise with other adults who are also working on their Somali.
It’s not the end of the world. Classes are recorded, so you can catch up and review what you missed. We also provide class materials and support so you can stay on track.
Yes. Class recordings are provided so you can review the lesson, catch up if you miss a class, and practise again during the week
During the week, you’ll be given speaking tasks or practice prompts. You can send voice notes into the WhatsApp group and receive feedback/corrections so you keep practising outside the live classes.
The first stage is a 12-week foundation programme. It is designed to help you build your sentence structure, practise speaking, and understand how Somali works across past, present, and future tense. After that, we have continued lessons for students who want to push themselves further towards fluency.
The goal of the first 12 weeks is not to promise instant fluency. The goal is to help you build a strong foundation, speak more confidently, understand sentence structure, and start replying in Somali instead of freezing or switching back to English.
You’ll answer a few questions so we can see if the programme is the right fit. If it looks suitable, you’ll be able to book a call with us to discuss your level, goals, timing, and the next cohort
